Agricultural Botany
The department of Agricultural Botany at Shriram College of Agriculture, Paniv was established in August, 2013. The Section of Agricultural Botany is one of the principle branch of agricultural sciences, which deals with the principles and practices of crop improvement. Agricultural botany is defined as, the scientific study of plants, including their physiology, structure, genetics, ecology, distribution, classification, and economic importance. The Agricultural Botany section in the college is basically includes different disciplines viz., Genetics and Plant Breeding, Crop Physiology, Plant Biotechnology, Seed Technology and Environmental Sciences.
GOALS
To impart the technical knowledge regarding modern agriculture to students as well as local farmers.
