College of Agriculture, Paniv have well-equipped library with experienced staff offers services to the faculty members and students. The mission of the Library is to facilitate creation of new knowledge through acquisition, organisation and dissemination of knowledge resources and providing for value added services. The AutoLib NG software is used by library. The overall functioning of Library handled by the Librarian.

Stack Section:

The text books mentioned in the University syllabus of all the subjects for B.SC Agriculture, B.SC Horticulture, Agriculture Engineering and Agriculture Business Management are available in the library. The total books i.e. 2623 volumes and 282 titles are available in the stack for the benefit of staff and students to improve their knowledge.

Reading Hall:

There is availability of separate reading hall for faculty members and students. There is special reading hall arrangement for girl students. The reading hall for the students is airy, well-illuminated and spacious to accommodate up to 250 students.

    • New Arrivals: Display the books, Journals and Magazine at new arrival section besides entrance of the library.
    • News Items Display: Display of newspaper clippings related to the Agriculture & others Developments.

    • The library provides both soft and hard copy of previous five year university question papers to the students and faculty also. There is also facility of providing university question paper through email system.
    • The 200 multiple choice question bank is available to students who are studying the post graduate exams of MCAER and ICAR according to V dean syllabus.

      6.Book Bank Facility:

    • The facility is provided to the first & second topper of all four year students. They can borrow 10 books for one semester.

User Orientation Programmer:

Every year central library conducts orientation programmer for First year and Direct second year students to achieve following objectives:

  • Raise student awareness of librarians’ roles in supporting academic activities;
  • Promote the Library as the BEST source of online information for scholarly research;
  • Introduce students to the physical Library space and different material types;
  • Help students to know how to search book by using “Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC)”.
  • Provide an environment where students can meet their peers.
